Who is the new guard of leaders in the furniture industry? Home Furnishings Business is hoping to find out by May 22. HFB is seeking nominations for the top 40 industry stars under the age 40, to be featured in the magazine’s July print and digital editions.

“We’re excited about this year’s Forty Under 40, and we can’t wait to get started,” Sheila Long O’Mara, editor in chief of HFB, explains. “The furniture industry is much better because of the next generation of executives who are grabbing hold in the industry and helping to push it forward. That should be celebrated by all.”
To be eligible, nominees must: be over the age of 21 and under 40 by the end of December; be leaders within their organizations; have had important career achievements, and have substantial community involvement outside their day jobs. As the regulations note, “The nominee must work and be civically engaged within the home furnishings industry and within the community in which they live and work.” Potential nominees are welcome to self-nominate. Submissions must be received by midnight on May 22.
