To kick off the New Year, The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) launched two new online features for designers: a designer matching service and a research and resources library.
‘Find a Designer and Designers Near You’ highlights rotating designer portfolios based on a potential client’s location. Users can view designer portfolios and refine their search for an interior designer by specialty and expertise.

“As a new business owner this type of service and exposure is invaluable,” said Kia Weatherspoon of Determined by Design. “It lets me know perspective clients looking for a designer on the ASID website know the value of hiring a design professional.”

Potential clients can also take advantage of videos, publications and checklists to help them choose and hire a designer and learn more about special topics including sustainable design, aging-in-place, design for children with special needs, safety in the home and more.
They will also have access to products and educational materials through a comprehensive listing of ASID Industry Partners, speakers, and web events.
“The ASID.org redesign represents a needed overhaul to meet the challenges of today’s interior design industry, where a rapidly evolving online environment plays a huge role in modern communications,” said Autumn Conrad, spokesperson ASID.
