New York interior designer Steven Gambrel is the tenth collaborator to create a collection with Urban Electric. Other designers include Richard Mishaan, Amanda Nisbet, Tom Scheerer and Darryl Carter. The Charleston, an SC-based company, is run by Dave Dawson, who was on hand to debut the collection in NYC alongside Gambrel.

Everything is custom and made in America. The spun-aluminum body of the Malplaquet hanging light, pictured below, can be powder coated in over 1,000 colors.
The Gambrel collection consists of 12 designs, including the first fixture Urban Electric has ever designed specifically for LEDs (pictured above right), something the designer insisted on.
