In the wake of the Design Leadership Network's (DLN) annual Design Leadership Summit (DLS) which took place in Marrakech last month, co-hosts Peter Sallick, Keith Granet and Meg Touborg announced a separation of ways. Sallick will continue to run DLN/DLS, while Touborg and Granet will create a new entity.
"Keith and Meg are no longer associated with the DLS as co-hosts, but the ideas, commitment and resources that inspired its founding remain in place and are as strong as ever," wrote Sallick in a letter to DLS/DLN members. "I am eager to share the stage in the future with new voices and new ideas, experiences, and relationships. In fact, the DLS has never been about its organizers, but about our community and the chance to set aside the day-to-day for a moment and be inspired by everyone in attendance."
Sallick said that over the next weeks and months, members can expect news of programs, partnerships and resources to build the DLN and strengthen the community.
Granet and Touborg also stated in a letter that they are planning for the next organization and the next conference. "It is our goal to create our own organization that provides our community with the same inspiration, resources and tools as we have for the past seven years," wrote Granet.
Plans include a website, a think tank in the Napa Valley, and a 2013 conference.
