Formerly the chief marketing officer for Restoration Hardware, Ian Sears has been has named president of Ralph Lauren Home. In addition, RLH's vp of marketing, advertising and communications William Li has been promoted to senior vp, adding sales and merchandising to his list of responsibilities. He will also oversee European business development for the home category.

Sears has held senior positions with Macy's and Williams-Sonoma. Li joined the company in August 2010 from Conde Nast as the Publisher of the now-defunct Condé Nast Portfolio. Both appointments coincide with the pending retirement of Frank Guzzetta as president.
