Residence A, the guesthouse for Hollyhock House at Barnsdall Art Park, Frank Lloyd Wright’s first project in Los Angeles, will benefit from a $3.2 million restoration project. The guesthouse will receive rehabilitation and other structural enhancements, including seismic testing, inspection, analysis, repair and strengthening; upgrade of roof and drainage systems; restoration of doors, windows and flooring; and restoration of major areas, including the foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen.

Hollyhock House is now part of the United States’ first modern architecture nominations for UNESCO’s World Heritage List. It received an extensive renovation, which was finished in February of last year. Hollyhock and Residence A are the only two Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Los Angeles that are accessible to the public.
