Paris Design Week’s January iteration has drawn to a close, but not without the two most prominent shows, Maison & Objet and Déco Off, introducing a slew of design trends. EAL correspondent Marisa Marcantonio reports back on what’s trending now, from bold colors and textures to aviary-inspired pieces, despite an admitted downturn in this season’s inspiration. “Editors claimed the show, where accessories are the main draw, was lacking in inspiration and I have to agree, there was not something to amaze and delight around every turn,” writes Marcantonio. “But lo and behold, I found design inspiration worth getting excited about.”
