Starting today, “New York New Design,” AIA New York’s yearly member show, is returning to the newly renovated Center for Architecture. The show features the works of 100-plus New York City architects, whose projects are in the city, across the U.S., and in 22 countries throughout the world. Among them are the newly opened Whitney Museum of American Art, by Renzo Piano Building Workshop; CENTRO University in Mexico City, by TEN Arquitectos; and the Manhattan Districts 1/2/5 Garage, by Dattner Architects.

“The vision and work of architects shapes the world we live in. ‘New York New Design’ gives us an expansive survey of where the profession is right now,” says executive director Ben Prosky.

Carol Loewenson, FAIA, 2016 AIANY president, shares, “When you see this diversity of design practice, you get an instant understanding of the breadth and depth of New York City’s AIA members. Here and around the world, their global influence and local impact demonstrate both innovation and urban authenticity.”

The “New York New Design” exhibition will be on view at the Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, New York, until May 28.
