WithIt (Women in the Home and Furnishings Industry Today) has announced the lineup of honorees for its yearly WOW Awards. Connie Post of Affordable Design Solutions will receive the WithIt Legacy Award, honoring her decades of industry contributions.
Libby Langdon will emcee this year's WOW Awards.
Honorees for the Leadership Award, created to recognize contributions of women over age 40 who have demonstrated successful leadership, include Irene Crowell of Ashley Furniture Industries, Katherine Juckett of Telescope Casual Furniture and Marilyn Durning of STORIS Inc. The Future Leader Award honorees, women under 40 who have exhibited both accomplishment and leadership potential, include Emily Martin of Lexington Home Brands, Stephanie Lena of Somerton Dwelling and Marissa Kashani of Louis Shanks of Texas.
The Education Award will honor Patricia Bowling of American Home Furnishings Alliance, Susan Lorenz of Kravet Furniture and Christi Tasker of PuTTin’ OuT; and the Mentoring Award winners include Lisa Ferguson of Decor Mentor, Leslie Carothers of The Kaleidoscope Partnership and Renee Loper-Boyd of International Market Centers.
The WOW Awards dinner will be held April 15, at 6:30 p.m., in the IHFC International Ballroom, and will be emceed by designer-author Libby Langdon, a longtime member of the organization, who has licensed collections with Braxton Culler, Crystorama, Tiger Rug, Casart Coverings and Bradburn Gallery Home.
