Kravet Etude Chair, styled by Nick Olsen, at Doyle
Doyle New York is hosting a benefit auction for Traditional Home’s 2015 Classic Woman Awards. Five Kravet chairs, designed by Alexa Hampton, Nick Olsen, Patricia Healing and Dan Barsanti, are being auctioned off as a featured section of the Doyle at Home event beginning today. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the charity assigned to each chair, including Prospector Theater, Tigerlily Foundation, Kids’ Food Basket, Children of Conservation and The Thorn Tree Project.

Pietro Chiesa’s Blue Chiaro Argentato cabinet, at Sotheby’s
Sotheby’s New York unveils “Alchemy: Art x Design,” an exhibition combining art, design and decorative objects from past and present. Curated by Delphine and ReedKrakoff, it will be on display to the public beginning December 13, with the Important Design auction taking place on December 16, featuring American and European pre- and post-War designs by Jean-Michel Frank, EugènePrintz and PierreChareau, along with other notable designers.
