The ASID Foundation is now accepting proposals for its fifth-annual Transform Research Grant program. Each year, the foundation recognizes research on the link between interior design and human behavior. Next year, it will award up to $100,000 to evidence-based projects on the topic of the “Impact of Interior Design on Learning Performance and the Learning Experience.” A panel of experts will evaluate entries and choose the top five studies for each type of grant, and the foundation’s board of trustees will determine the grant recipients.

Sonya Odell of ASID

“The importance of learning has grown tremendously in the United States over the last several decades,” said ASID Foundation chair Sonya Odell. “Now, the ability to acquire new skills and to process information is the difference between being competitive and being left behind. Knowledge is power, and in the coming months, we look forward to reviewing RFP submissions regarding the impact of interior design on the learning process.”

The deadline for submissions is December 7, 2015. Learn more.
