Maison & Objet will mark its 20th anniversary in Paris on the first week of September, under the celebratory theme of “Birthday Cakes and Birthday Plates,” and, following tradition, the home furnishings fair will spotlight a select group of rising French designers. The group of six designers and teams includes: Gilles Neveu; Camille Riboulleau; Laura Lynn Jansen and Thomas Vailly; Arthur Gillet; Florian Dach and Dimitri Zephir; and Célia Picard and Hannes Schreckenberger.
The designers’ work is just as diverse as their backgrounds: Neveu, born in 1990, draws inspiration from Drourot, the Paris auction house, as well as the 18th century, while Riboulleau, who is debuting a plastic chair collection at the fair, has earned a Creation Assistance Award for his furnishing industry innovations.
