Last month, we highlighted a handful of show houses that were opening from east coast to west coast and many cities in between. But this month—it’s all about New York. Top New York designers are donating their time and talents to five show houses in the name of charity and good design karma. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s opening in the Empire State throughout the next few weeks.

The Designer Show House of Westchester: May 1 – June 9
Cerebral Palsy of Westchester will hold its fourth annual Designer Showhouse of Westchester at a magnificent estate in Scarsdale. Participating interior designers include Anthony and Olanow Design Group, Barbara Bell Interiors, Cast Classics,Debra Funt Interiors, Donna Benedetto Designs, Dunn & Tighe Interiors, Elissa Grayer Interior Design LLC, Finelines Interiors,Gail Green Interiors, Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC, Karen Houghton Interiors, Ken Gemes Interiors, Kim Freeman Style & Design, Last Detail by Carey Karlan, Lillian August, Maggie McManus Kitchens & Baths,Mendelson Group, Rachel Laxer Interiors, Ltd.,Rooms by ZoyaB and Wakefield Design Center.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House: May 7 – June 4
Every year, celebrated interior designers transform a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House benefitting Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
The event began in 1973 when several dedicated women’s committee members of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club launched the Decorator Show House to raise funds for much needed after school and enrichment programs for New York City children. Over the course of four decades, this project has raised in excess of $17 million and grown into a “must destination” for thousands of design enthusiasts and is recognized for launching interior design trends throughout the world.

Thrift & Treasure Shop Designer Show House: May 25
The ARF Thrift & Treasure shop (17 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack) will be transformed into a stunning Designer Showhouse with rooms designed by renowned interior decorators. Each stylish room will incorporate Thrift Shop items and pieces donated from the designers own collections. All furnishings will be for sale. Over 200 guests from the Hamptons social and design community are expected to attend this special night. For additional information, visit the website.

Holiday House Hamptons: June 23 – July 21
HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens) brings Holiday House to the Hamptons for the first time this summer. The show house, which benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, is a popular destination in New York City in the fall and will bring that design talent and inspiration to a beach house in Bridgehampton, NY next month.
Leonard Lauder is the Honorary Chair for the HC&G Holiday House Hamptons along with Design Chairs Aerin Lauder, Thom Filicia and Tony Ingravo. Iris Danker, founder of Holiday House, is a 15-year breast cancer survivor who created the event to join her passion for interior design with her determination to eradicate this deadly disease.
